Pick up days
Since two year, we are no longer sending out the walker's booklet, since a large number of people did not receive them in time, or in some cases not at all. However, it is still possible to view our walker's booklet on the following link. Only those people who come and fetch their chips will be given a printed copy.
You can fetch your chip on the following days Saturday 24 July 2010 from 13:00 to 20:00 in Sportzaal OLVP* Saturday 7 August 2009 from 13:00 to 20:00 in Sportzaal OLVP* Wednesday 11 August 2009 from 15:00 to 20:00 in Sportzaal OLVP* Friday 13 August 2009 from 13:00 to 20:30 in the large tent in the church square

Another new item since two years is that you can register other walkers when you pick up the chips. This is charged at the on-the-day registration rate of EUR33. This may be useful for those who want to wait and see what the weather will be like, but who want to avoid the long waiting times for registrations on the day on Friday.

Medals of 2009
Dear Dodentochters,
First of all we would like to thank all our enthusiastic walkers for their continued confidence in our organization.
The post-event survey shows that many hikers apparently prefer the traditional medal to the attractive badge with year of participation. Therefore vzw Dodentocht decided to continue working from 2010 with the highly coveted medals and also to make an extra effort for the medals of 2009.
Of course, we deeply regret that some anonymous individuals still want to ruin things. Together with you, we hope that in August they find other hiking places and do not take part in our march where friendship and tolerance are always a central part. Because they are absolutely unworthy of a medal and of the name Dodentocht!
We wouldn't be the Dodentocht if we didn't make a wonderful offer : the medals for the year 2009 (plus the participant numbers with the times achieved) can be collected free of charge during the takeaway days (dates to follow in a personal letter) and also during the Dodentocht on 13 and August 14, 2010. If desired, the medal (plus number) can also be requested personally by post. For this we must charge a cost of 6 euros.
During the next months, all walkers who succesfully completed the 40th 100 km Dodentocht will receive a personal letter plus reply card. Here you will find all the details plus dates for obtaining the medal for the year 2009.
And so, from 2010 onwards, we will continue the tradition with the medal (including numbers).
