The primary task of the Field Department is designing the route. This involves more than merely looking for beautiful places to hike. When designing the route, the Field Department considers the weaker elements of the previous route, possible roadwork during the Dodentocht weekend, and, of course, the safety of the hikers. Naturally, this all takes place in close consultation with municipalities, police departments, and technical departments.
This department places the signs for the 100 km Dodentocht in the days leading up to the event. The Field Department opens and closes the checkpoints during the event. This ensures a fair and correct hike. The volunteers of the Field Department accompany the last hiker from the 50 km checkpoint and are the last to leave ‘their’ route in this capacity.
Would you like to volunteer in this department? Fill in your details below.
Are you administratively strong and would you like to lend a hand in preparing and processing the registrations?
Do you like to provide service to the hiker? Supplying, registering times or being a driver, it’s no problem for you!

Make the Dodentocht bigger. You can do that, too. Sponsors, media and print have no secrets from you.
