The IT world has become an irrevocable part of the organisation of the 100 km Dodentocht. Preparing the computers and providing the required materials (cables, e-ID readers, servers, …) are important duties of the IT Department.
This department is active both in the city centre and on the route during the Dodentocht weekend. They take care of the installation and support of the IT equipment and the communication cables in the city centre. On the route, they are responsible for the tracking system and the scanning mats. Fans are able to track the hikers, splits can be registered, and the scanned times can be printed on the certificate thanks to the IT Department.
