The 52nd edition promises to be great!

The 52nd edition of the international 100 km Dodentocht is scheduled for Friday august 13th, 2021. The 100 km Dodentocht is a non-competitive hike which challenges you to hike (or jog) 100 km in a minimum of 10 hours and a maximum of 24 hours. You can only participate if you have registered in advance. 

Also in 2021 we keep the limit on 13 000 hikers to guarantee their safety and to ensure it maintains feasible for the many volunteers who contribute to the Dodentocht weekend. 

Alternative: 100km Covid Challenge

As an organization we offer for our canceled 51st edition a virtual alternative, the 100Km Covid Challenge powered by Dodentocht. The challenge runs from Monday July 13, 2020 to Sunday, August 9, 2020. Register between June 1 and July 12, 2020!

Fees

Participating in the 100 km Dodentocht costs 50 euros. This fee includes:

  • Route marked with signallers or police officers at dangerous crossings.
  • Medical facilities at nine route checkpoints.
  • 14 route and provision checkpoints with free fruit, cinnamon biscuits (speculaas), cookies, bread, coffee, tea, soup, or sports drinks for hikers.
  • Commemorative medal and diploma.
  • Goodie bag offered by sponsor (as long as stock lasts).

A participants’ T-shirt costs 8 euros. A hot meal at the 50-km checkpoint costs 11 euros. 

Register

Keep in mind that advance registration is only possible by means of an online payment (Bancontact – Visa – MasterCard). Do not forget to order the exclusive participants’ T-shirt or hot meal at the halfway checkpoint when signing up. This will not be possible afterwards. 

When?

Because of the cancellation of the Dodentocht 2020, registration of the next edition will only start in the spring of 2021. Make sure to keep an eye on our website and social media to stay informed.

How do I register?

Step 1

Complete the online registration form. You will be forwarded to the payment page of our partner once you have confirmed your personal details. 

Step 2

You can only pay for your advance registration online. Enter your payment card details to be forwarded to the verification page of your bank or card provider, based on the chosen payment method.  

Step 3

You will be returned to the 100km Dodentocht website once your payment is successful. You will receive an e-mail to confirm your registration, your start number, and associated useful information. 

Just like any other party collecting data, we are bound to the GDPR. You can find our policy here. When you register for the event, you automatically declare to accept the general terms and conditions and the rules of the international 100 km Dodentocht. 

Additional information

A few months before the start of the 100 km Dodentocht, you can pick-up your participation envelope at the sports centre of de Onze-Lieve-Vrouwe-Presentatie (Temsesteenweg 10 in Bornem).
The envelope will contain the following: 

  • Registration badge with start number: You must visibly wear the registration badge during the entire event. This badge is used to register your presence at the checkpoints during the Dodentocht. This registration will take place automatically. You are required to wear the badge above your clothing at the checkpoints. Your badge will also indicate whether you have ordered a hot meal. 
  • Wristband: you must wear a wristband as an additional form of verification at the checkpoints. 
  • Lanyard: the lanyard to which your badge is attached to be worn during the Dodentocht. 

You can only order a participants’ T-shirt during the advance registration. You can choose from the sizes XS – S – M – L – XL – XXL. A T-shirt costs 8 euros. 

You can pick up your participants’ T-shirt upon presentation of your registration envelope on one of the pick-up days or on the actual day of the 100 km Dodentocht between 13:00 and 20:30 in the large tent on the Kardinaal Cardijnplein. 

If you are unable to participate due to unforeseen circumstance but still wish to receive your participants’ T-shirt, you can also pick it up on one of the pick-up days or on Friday august 13th, 2021. We will not send any T-shirts by mail. 

Did you forget to order your T-shirt or meal during your registration? We can still make changes to your registration. Contact the Internal Affairs department using the contact form. Keep in mind that we will charge 5 euros in administrative fees. 

For changes to registrations (if you have forgotten to order a T-shirt or a meal, for example), please contact the Internal Affairs department using the contact form. Changes will result in an administrative fee of 5 euros. 

Are you registered and you still cannot participate in the 52nd edition of the international 100km Dodentocht? Then from XX 2021 you can get rid of your ticket via the waiting list, if you don’t know anyone yourself, or via Ticket Swap, if you find someone for your ticket.

  • Waiting list: Via XXXX you pass your ticket on to the first person on the waiting list.
    Both parties pay an administrative fee of 5 euros for this.
    This is only possible until July 15, 2020
  • Ticket Swap: Via XXX you sell your ticket to someone you know.
    Both parties pay an administrative fee of 5 euros for this.
    This is possible until August 14, 2020 – 8:30 PM.

The administration behind the ticket change is entirely through the organization. The organization also arranges payment and refund of the tickets, you do not arrange this mutually.
